The Death Of Diabetes

Diabetes and a Whole Foods Plant Based Diet

Benefits of plant-based diets

Medical research is an ongoing endeavor which is constantly looking for new ways to keep people healthy. One such study is now indicating that the higher the content of plant foods in a person’s diet the smaller are their chances of having problems with diabetes. There is approximately a 23% decrease in the possibility of becoming a diabetic when people are eating a plant based diet. For those people who regularly eat a variety of healthy plant-based foods such as nuts, fruits, veggies, and whole grains are apparently reducing their risk of contracting diabetes by approximately 30%. This is because such foods are known to contain a high percentage of antioxidants, vitamins, fiber, minerals and several other healthy ingredients. Just remember that foods with added sugar  which have been processed do not qualify as healthy plant food which can help to reduce diabetes. Other things which are not helpful are chips, white pasta, white bread, cookies and some sugary breakfast cereals.

Doctors that have seen the light

There are two doctors Matthew Lederman,a board certified MD in Internal Medicine and Dr. Alona Pulde MD trained in Family Practice both of whom are board certified med medical physicians. Also both of these individuals are specialists in the lifestyle of medicine and nutrition. These two highly trained medical professionals have been the creators of the medical program which has been used in the documentary known as Forks over Knives. This was seen in the Whole Foods Market medical and wellness centres. They have also written a book together which was known as the Forks over Knifes plan and the whole foods diet which was a New York Times bestseller. It is simply an irrefutable fact that following a plant-based diet can be extremely helpful in helping people to avoid the possibility of contracting type II diabetes. These facts have also been correlated by other professionals such as Dr. Qi Sun who is an associate professor at Harvard T H Chan school of Public health in Boston and Doctors Colin Campbell(The China Study) and Caldwell Essylstyn(Chairman of the Breast Cancer Task Force,Cleveland Clinic). These studies which have been conducted clearly show that the closer we get to a whole foods plant based diet, the greater the benefit.

The Joey Aucoin testimony

They say in the marketing industry that the personal testimony of a person is untouchable because that testimony represents the personal experience of the individual. This is why when one hears many testimonies from people who have made use of natural methods to reverse their type II diabetes then people simply have to pay attention. In many cases such reversals have taken place within an amazing short period of time. This naturally provides hope to many other people suffering from diabetes. There is a man in Tampa, Florida by the name of Joey Aucoin who was suffering very badly from the side effects which is caused by medicines that were prescribed for diabetes. Unfortunately, because of his diabetes he was forced to use that medication over a period of four years. However, from the moment he started on a whole foods plant-based diet it only took two weeks to completely reverse his diabetes. There is no longer any need to use his diabetes medication. This will certainly be great news for many people struggling with this debilitating disease.
